Thanks Peter. Was not aware of that. I have seen C. siva twice in Goa and on
both occasions managed to photograph it. The female was seen at Tambdi-Surla
puddling along with male for a short time after which she took off.

Will need to take permission though to collect, since these locations are
Wildlife Sanctuaries.

Please note that there are only very few specimens of Curetis siva females
known
worldwide. There are none in Indian collections that I know of, so if you were
to come across females of the species again, I am certain that the BNHS, ZSI,
FRI, IARI, etc will be very grateful for specimens.

Dear All,
Shiva's Sunbeam captured at Tambdi-Surla, Goa
1. Species: Shiva's Sunbeam2. Location: Tambdi-Surla, Goa3. Time: 12.00 noon4.
Saw two individuals, one male and a female, puddling in company of Tamil Yeoman

Rustic. Luckily the male opened its wings for a few seconds to allow a couple
of
images.
