Dear Anuj
This bug is Canthecona furcellata (Hemiptera: Pentatomidae). It is known to
devour many lepidopterous larvae in similar manner. But your reporting it on
larva of plain tiger butterfly may be a rare instance.

Thanking you, with regards

      Hi all,
Any idea what bug can infest Plain Tiger caterpillars on Blood flower
(Asclepias curassavica)?  See picture attached. It has a long proboscis.
Regards,
Anuj
