Hello folks,
Do peruse the link below

The White-edged Woodbrown, Lethe visrava, Moore, 1865 was spotted near
Sessni in Eaglenest WLS, West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh in
May 2011 during a Lepidoptera survey. The same butterfly had also been
sighted in the same locality in Oct 2010. It was more common in May,
with numerous sightings of the male. I had only a single sighting of
the female, which is whitish, instead of the brown colour male (and
its identification bothered me no end-thanks to Krushnamegh for
figuring this out). It is amongst the few Lethe species which is
sexually dimorphic, which means that the male and female are different.
A really nice description of the butterfly is mentioned in The Fauna
of British India Vol. 2 (1939) by G. Talbot. Wynter-Blyth, Talbot and
Evans mention its range as Sikkim to Bhutan and Talbot mentions
sightings in north-east Burma, so this is the first record in
Arunachal Pradesh. WB also mentions that the butterfly is seen on the
wing in June and October, implying that it is at least double-brooded,
and my records in end May and Oct confirm this.
The butterfly is listed as "rare" by Evans, and "not rare" by WB. It
is also in the Schedule 2 of the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972.
