Usha, what is the length of this caterpillar, please? I am guessing it has one
more instar to go before pupating, so please keep us updated with high-quality
photos. Thanks!

Best wishes,

Keith

for id from Sikkim

Dear All,
I have just returned from Lachung (c. 3000m) with specimens of this aromatic
plant for identification and one similar white spotted black caterpillar, that
looks like it may pupate. Have kept it in a jar with leaves, but have to go to
Siliguri for a day for some personal work, so hope it is safe till I get back.
Yes, the plant is an aromatic Umbellifer, perhaps some *Selinum *sp. Hope to
get it identified. Could just find two caterpillars though there were lot of
these food plants and in flower.
Please see attached pics. I await comments.

Kind regards,
Usha
