thanks folks  for the heartwarming response for our student friends ... may i
suggest some senior member   like dr.  amol or vijay barve to open an  account
in  the name of diversity india or  whatever  name suitable.
For the sake of total transparency , all  payments should be  made by  cheque
or telegraphic   transfers. Names of all  contributors to be  put up. Total
sum given to the  organisers of the meet for students subsidy also to be
displayed.
any other suggestions to take this  concept to the next level are also welcome

I am very glad to see helping hand of seniors, I wrote to group regarding
discount, and also to Mr.Vijay Barve before sept 2011 meet. I also liked idea
of Krushnamegh sir, I would be very happy to help someone in the field work and
other related work, It has dual advantage for me in terms of learning and
economy.

I am Pune based, completed my masters in microbiology, and Looking forward to
do PhD in ecology and evolution. It will be great if I get an opportunity to
help someone in their work.Thank you Krushnamegh sir, and thank you all.

friends  There was a  recent letter  from  a student wanting to join the
butterfly meet but was asking  for  a discount.  wonder if   it be possible to
give students a 25 percent discount for the butterfly meet, i  am sure many of
us   would not  mind,  paying a little more. after all we were students once
upon a  time and it was  so  terribly difficult for us to get  funds for
anything  besides our  college related activities

or  we could put it up to the group, we have 3 or x no of students wanting to
join  anyone willing to sponsor  part of  their expense. for a start  i would
not  mind  contributing one thousand rupees  towards a general  student
discount  for the next meet. any more members  willing to help?
