Dear Friends, There is a job vacancy! Mother Earth is looking for young Eco-warriors who are passionate, persistent, hardworking and committed to protect her. Are you the one? For the first time, the Conservation Education Centre (CEC) of BNHS is announcing a unique leadership camp specially designed for children. This three-day residential camp intends to train the participants into young eco-warriors who will take a lead in addressing their local environmental issues. The camp is all of hard work and fun. Participants will work on the forest trails of BNHS Nature Reserve and Sanjay Gandhi National Park (SGNP), cleaning up the trails, removing invasive species, repairing/rebuilding stream bunds, interacting with local communities around Film City about their dependency on the forests, with the visitors at the SGNP and learning about eco-tourism, with the park officials and understanding about forest management. Besides wearing a hat of an environmentalist, educationist, each participant will work on an individual research project and will get chance to wear a scientist hat too. They will also get opportunity to come up close with field biologist. If you think you are a game for this, let us know, we will be happy to mentor you and earn a certificate of an Eco-Warrior.
