a.. BVARC May Membership meeting will be on Thursday, May 8, at 7:30 PM at the
Eldridge Park Conference Center (see BVARC home page, www.bvarc.org , for
detailed directions). During the May BVARC General Membership meeting we will
take a look at a subject that has as many opinions as there are hams discussing
it. Grounding. Our featured speaker for May will be Bob Hardie, W5UQ. A
sixty year veteran of ham radio, Bob will be giving us his presentation – “From
Earth to Ground”. A basic presentation about grounding for the ham radio
station/system. Bob promises to keep it lively.
If grounding is something you have a fascination with, or something that is as
much of a mystery as the six meter band, then join us this May at the BVARC
meeting. Come for the camaraderie and stay for the learning.
a.. RAGCHEW net: The BVARC Rag Chew Net meets on Wednesdays at 7 on 3910 khz or
thereabouts. All hams are invited to attend.
a.. Public service net meets on Mondays on 146.94 (167.9) at 8 PM.
