I hope everyone is taking the opportunity to work the W1AW portable
stations and earning WAS on their favorite bands and modes. This is a
great opportunity to do so. I am a late starter, as I did not have a
radio until the last week of February.
I remember back when I was president, we had a 40m CW WAS contest
amongst club members. Every few days or every week, we would post our
progress and the competition got stiff the last few weeks as we closed
in on the last few states.
