i just happened to be off work today and was looking at all the spots and realized there is a contest. now, not being into cw contesting, wanted to make a few contacts that would be worthwhile. so, started checking the call signs of those that were spotted and i recognized one right off the bat.... k1zz. why work him? mucho points in the centennial contest. i worked dave on ssb back in august so catching him on cw was a bunch of points. may not make a difference in moving me up the ladder but still a nice catch.

the exchange can be confusing. but if you are working with 150 watts or less and by yourself, the exchange is
XX1XX 1 A 00 STX

the XX1XX is their call
1 is your sequence first contact, second contact etc
A is for single op
00 is the year you were first licensed
STX is your ARRL Section, we are in South Texas

go grab a few extra centennial points while the picking is good. or give out a few points to others in the sweepstakes.
