Jerry, I can see your position, but not your exact point. While I can see that
antenna theory gets pretty deep and various people have different levels of
understanding, to be able to answer your questions, I for one and probably Rick
as well would like some questions.  It is much easier to answer a question that
is asked than trying to guess just how much detail you really want.  I have
been accused more than once of telling a preson how to build a watch when all
he wanted was the correct time!  But it is much easier to answer a question
that is asked than one that is asked than one that is not asked.  Sometimes the
question is like the school boy who wrote to the Library of Congress and stated
that he had a paper to write, please send all the information the library has
about George Washington.  Be careful to ask for what you really want! Willis

Rick:   While this was somewhat interesting, most of it was way over this mans
head. Needless to say I was lost. For those with engineering degrees might
understand all of it I did not. Wish they would write one in plain English.

bit further into the realm of antenna theory, this book might be the key to the
whole enchilada for you.  I found it to be quite good at giving the
theoretical, mathematical and empirical look at Ham’s favorite thing to talk
about and build.

This link does start a download that is 11 Megs PDF so be aware and patient.
It is amazing what you can find online these days……  Enjoy…Rick – W5RH
