I belatedly (my bad!) discovered today that the proprietary battery on my
Wouxun KG-UVD1P HT won't take a charge. The charger does put out the right
voltage but battery reads zero across the terminals.
The battery seems to be built into the back of the case; however, it might
pop out. It's 7.4 v 1700 mAh. Possibly part number 1A17KG-3.
I doubt if I can find one in Houston tomorrow, so would appreciate it if
somebody can lend me one. This was HT I had planned to use for the Marathon
on Sunday. (Luckily my assignments can be done mainly from my car, which
has a working dual-bander.)
