Friday May 29 (fireworks) or Saturday May 30 are looking like excellent
candidates.

Good Point John,

I know at least 4 BVARCers who will be going to Hamcom

Scott,

It is impossible to schedule something to be free of conflicts. However you
should be aware of some Ham related conflicts in May and June:

May 15-17 - Dayton Hamvention. This is the largest Hamfest in the nation.
Typically 3 or 4 and sometimes a few more attend.

June 6 & 7 - Museum Ship's Weekend. Last year, even though it wasn't actually
at Seawolf Park, there were approximately 15 BVARCers (and/or spouses) that
attended.

June 13 & 14 - Hamcom in Arlington (Plano). This is the largest Hamfest in TX
and is the ARRL West Gulf Division Convention. BVARC attendance varies, but is
typically 4 or 5. Last year, it was also one of 6 Regional ARRL Centennial
Convention sites so we might have had more attendees last year.

June 27 & 28 - Field Day. BVARC attendance varies somewhat but is typically in
the range of 30-60 attendees.

Keep up the good work.

John, K5IZO

I am trying to plan a HAM RADIO NIGHT at the Sugar Land Skeeters and need your
input.

Please Answer the following:

• Please respond to the group or my personal email address. I would
appreciate your thoughts.

• Would you prefer a Friday or Saturday Evening?
Friday nights are fireworks. They have some premiums on
Saturdays
• May or June?
They only have 2 home stands in May and one is Memorial
Day Weekend
(My personal preference is Saturday June 13 and when I
last spoke to the promotions people they are giving away baseball cards.)
• If June, this would be a great opportunity to also promote Field Day.

Ticket prices would be $8 to 12 dollars each depending on the route we wish to
go and I may be able to do a little negotiating.

A would like to include: BVARC, Echo, TDXS, NARS, AMSAT, BLT, PARC, and all
other Ham Radio Clubs. I would like to make this as inclusive as possible.
This could also be separate or at the same time as the BVARC at the Ball Park
that we have had the last couple of years that ART (KE5OBY) put together.

I think that we have always enjoyed the game and the fellowship in the past and
I for one would not mind sharing this opportunity with others.
