All:
I am a fairly new ham (4 years) and therefore most of my HF is hands
on. The fact that I am retired and can sit in front of my rig is an
advantage compared to those that have to work all day and miss the rare
contact or
DX. Do you not think that those that work sould be allowed to have the
same fun as I enjoy. And what about the HAM who goes on vacation and does not
have a mobile rig? I look at it in the light as more hams on the air and
that is a good thing.

If you're interested in being competitive, then it's just a new twist on
the old practice of putting together a contest station.
If you're just interested in having a good time making some Q's, I don't
think it matters. So, for the vast majority of people, it's not even
approximately like the future of contesting.

Here is an interesting article on the future of contesting…and it’s
causing quite a stir on some of the email reflectors.
