You mean it is not 2012? TravisK5HTB To: [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected] Date: Wed, 4 Mar 2015 11:41:09 -0600 Subject: Re: [BVARC] Countdown to MSWE 2012 From: [email protected]
It is only 3 years off. I think for most of us, that is almost hitting it dead center! I know it is for me! After recently being denied access to the ship compound at Seawolfe park, I put a query on the reflector about the interest of members in Ft. Travis on Bolivar, but I have not received any replies. Jerry Muller recently withdrew from his co-chairman position for personal reasons and I am interested in anyone who desires to take over that role. At present I am wondering if there is sufficient interest in the event to query the Galveston County Park Board about the availability of Ft. Travis. Last year was good, but the mosquitos in the early evening were fierce. After I made my query, I did not receive any messages on the BVARC reflector until the one from Mike Hardwick shown below. I would appreciate it if the situation would be briefly discussed at the coming board meeting and the feeling of the BOD would be relayed to me.
