9Q0HQ is on air and was very workable today on 10 M SSB. When I browsed the DX
reflector I saw Congo and thought ok worked that one already on 10....wrong.
Pay attention to your log as there are 2 Congo's Dem Rep of Congo & Rep of
Congo. As his signal was so loud I worked him and log showed new DX. When I
worked him my signal must have been strong too as he stopped the DX pileup and
let me work 4 newer 9Q1 Congo Hams. It must have been a convention as when done
I thanked his countymen for intrest in Amateur Radio and mentioned emergency
communications prepardness in my 73 with the 5 callsigns. I heard very many
yaaas, hurahs, and applauds like a convention. Kinda cool as thats a first for
me workin a DXpedition pileup. Just worked 9Q0HQ on CW this evening.
