These frequencies are for calling the ship stations as published by N2BB, not for calling the site for directions of information. We will try to monitor 146.53 for talk in, 832-630-1799 and possibly other cell numbers. Also, at times 146.23/94 repeater, but you will only be able to hear it well in Galveston is you have a very good mobile setup. (good 5/8 external antenna and 50 watts or more). The Texas City Repeater will have a better signal than 34/94 on the Island and Peninsula. It is on 147.74/14 and is an open repeater which can be used with the normal courtesy for open repeaters used without prior coordination. If you take the ferry and wait until you are on the Peninsula you should be able to contact us directly. Otherwise, travel past the first gas station/convenience store (where you can buy ice and other supplies) and take the next paved road to the south which will bring you to the park entrance. You will be allowed in during the daylight hours. We do not have instructions at this time for entrance during the evening before 0700 AM. Try to contact us on 146.53 FM or by Cell during the dark hours. Willis 'Cookie' Cooke,BVARC MSWE Chairman 2015TDXS Contest Chairman K5EWJ & Trustee N5BPS
