Thanks all. The field day It was my first radio rodeo too! I appreciated all
the help from the club members and experienced operators and also made my first
HF contacts. My brand new Yaesu 991 made more CW contacts than I will probably
ever do in a lifetime (because I was not the operator:). It was a very amazing
learning experience all around and I am already looking forward to the next one.

Eternal Glory to all the volunteers and participants of the 2015 BVARC Field
Day!!

I had a blast! This was my first Field Day, and I really appreciate all the
mentoring -- I learned a lot. Made my first contacts on the HF bands, first
DX, and first attempts at satellite contacts (just couldn't bust the pile-ups
with my little 5-watt HT, but it was thrilling to hear quarter-watt signals
from a 1500 mile slant range).

Sorry Mike, but I'm still stinging from being uninvited last year. It
seemed your predecessor held the view that disabled people should sit on
the sidelines and cheer. On the other hand, it could reasonably be argued
that the 200-300 points I could generate in the dead of night were not
enough to justify setting up my station for me. Certainly not compared to
Al's 1,000 points/hour. Silly me thought Amateur Radio was about having
fun. How quaint. Anyway, I wish y'all good luck.
