What time is it? It’s Time for Chili and the Club Elections!
It is that time of the year again – chili supper and elections. Both are
important for the club’s survival. The chili supper provides club members with
nourishment (some people call it that) while the elections provides the club
with leadership and direction. Without one or the other the club will die (I am
stretching the point on the chili supper). Without club members taking a
leadership for the club, BVARC will become like so many amateur radio clubs
across Houston and the US…gone. So many clubs are on life support in one form
or another or just barely making it. So step up and volunteer for the board of
directors for BVARC and help the club survive.

Thursday night is a great night for determining the future of BVARC, as it is
the annual elections of 4 new officers for 2016 and/or 2017.
Looking for candidates.
Looking for those that want to help run the club.
Looking for those that want to give back to the club.
We are electing a new President, Recording Secretary, a 2 Year At Large and 1
Year At Large Board of Director Members for the next years.
PLEASE, consider serving your club. Others have stepped up – Thank you, but
how about YOU. We need YOU on the ballot.

There will be an open floor just before the elections for any verbal candidate
nominations.
The slate, as of Thursday lunch, will be posted on the reflector and also
listed on a board at the meeting, so all will know who is running.
