Allen,
okay... here is how to fix your Green tint problem.
Color balance is NOT the COLOR setting you see when you go to VIDEO settings. That is only the HUE setting. GO to VIDEO settings and STEP DOWN going down as far as you can. Step past NOISE REDUCTION.
You will now see: ADVANCED VIDEO SETTINGS: click on that.
keep SELECTING until you can STEP down to:
BLACK CORRECTION
GAMMA CORRECTION
and
WHITE CORRECTION.

Decide where the GREEN TINT is... in the WHITES or BLACKS or the GRAYS(gamma).

Memorize or write down the settings BEFORE you adjust them. As you change the GREEN settings of each you can see the color tint change in the BLACK, the GRAYS and/or the WHITES. Some times it is NOT the GREEN you need to set. It could be that the RED and BLUE need setting and leave the GREEN alone. It just depends on your set.

Again, WRITE DOWN the original settings before you make adjustments.

These settings WILL correct your GREEN tint problem.

GL and please let me know.

Yeah, already tried adjusting the color balance…no joy. But I’ll try it again. From what I read, it is most likely the “LCOS Optical Engine” inside the set. Funny thing is, the picture was perfect until the lamp went out and I replaced it. Just luck I guess.

And BTW, the set has already been replaced with a bigger, better TV, purchased on Black Friday.

BTW, the Oppo is a GREAT Blue-Ray/DVD/CD player and DAC. The only reason I am selling it is because I upgraded to the BDP-105D for the superior DAC.

I have the same set, plus I am a TV engineer.

Go into menu and look for the setup for color balance. I know it is there as I have set it on mine a few times.

If you can't find it or need help, call or email me

I have a Sony SXRD 50" DLP TV who's lamp went out recently. I replaced the
lamp, now the screen has a green tint. There is quite a bit of discussion on
the internet about this problem. Anyone have an idea what I should do with
this TV now, that doesn't cost as much as it may be valued to fix? It is a
beast, weighing in at 95 pounds, so I'll bet there's a lot of good exotic
materials in it, too.

receiving party MUST pick it up at my QTH.
In addition, I have an Oppo BDP-103D Blue-Ray Player/DAC with Darbee Video
for sale in perfect condition. Includes all accessories and original box.
