Interesting Allen.... Sometime we need to look at the records and
equipment each have.
Oh yes, I have lots of Jazz albums too....
I feltthat when I retired and not doing much... that I would set my
audio system up and transcribe my albums to CD, or whatever, as well as
listen to them. Haven't had time.
Yep, knew there were places to get phono cartridges......was just being
silly, plus I haven't looked at audio suppliers lately.
I've built many high end audio studios. Some high quality FM, some AM,
some TV and some production facilities.
Thing of my past that is gone now. Sad.....
Back to ham radio.

I have an old B&O Beogram Linear Tracking turntable myself with and MM2
cartridge. I also have several hundred LP's (mostly Jazz and classical) but
some rock. I try to get to estate sales to pick up new ones along with CD's.
I have been ripping my entire collection of CD's to .flac files to play with
my Oppo BD-105D or stream over a network.
High end audio is now my 2nd hobby, however, I consider my system to be the
"Low end" of "High end" audio! hihi

WOWEEEEE.... my jaw just hit the floor and bounced up over my
head..... And MSRP is $200,000. .
By the way, I have a Techniques linear tracking turntable from the early
80's. Love it. And I have a fairly big album library.
Lots of classical, broadway, comedy, folk songs, Sinatra, etc and etc.
Been thinking I would hook it all up in my shop and listen to them while
I work.
Wonder if I can still get a stylus and/or cartridge for it. Hmmmmmmm....
bet I can... but hope the old one is still good.

Beware that turntables from 15 (or maybe more) years ago, only have
the "phono" output (low level) whereas any stereo amplifier/ receiver
phased out the phono input probably 1 or 2 decades ago. So to make a
turntable with a "phono" output, you will either need an older
amp/rcvr with a phono input or a separate amp to convert phono to
"line" levels. Cheap ones can be gotten for $25 or so; Moderate
performance ones run $50+

Bruce,
If the turntable is decent, don't get rid of it. There is a lot of great
music on LP (vinyls to you young folk) that is still not available
anywhere
else. If you like jazz, let me know.

I have a Teac 6010SL that I bought a long long time ago. Time to get
rid of
it. Comes with the plastic dust cover and take up real.
Best offer. I live in Alief and it needs to be picked up, not going to
ship.
Has not been used in maybe 30 years.
I have not decided to part with my turntable yet.
