Soapbox : I got a late start on this contest. I was late getting
home on Friday so I missed the start, plus I had to go to a memorial on
Saturday morning, plus I visited KJ5Y and family afterwards. But conditions
were much better than expected. Saturday afternoon was full of JA's, KL7's
and KH6's; Sunday morning was full of EU and AF, and later in the day I have
a great run of SA. I was working EU until 11 am. Later, I worked a group of
VK's and ZL's. I worked a lot of 1's (ME, CT, RI, etc) and west coast (CA,
OR & WA) but the rest of the US was almost always very weak. I think I did a
good job never the less. QRN reared its ugly head on Sunday morning, but it
later was reduced in level and wasn't too bad. Overall, not too bad
considering general conditions.

Thanks to the locals who came out to help. I was a bit disappointed that
more local stations didn't show up, but I guess that's life.
