You buy the thing! I have almost a complete set of Bandpass filters [ minus 30 and 60 meters] most of them are the most expensive kind. I have one which I think is 15 meters which is the cheaper type but it is suitable in the environment for MSWE and Field Day Curves are available from the vendor that shows how effective that they are and if any other bands may leak through As i recall there was one Bandpass filter of the cheaper type that was not suitable as it let one other band through
With a good bandpass filter [ the more expensive one] the whole band is usable I have the following filters 160, 80, 40 20 15, 17, 12[?] 10 I may not have 12 meters as MSWE does not operate there They are *ONLY* available for my MSWE and TARS Field Day But I can bring two examples and take the covers off and see the difference Michael Monsour On Sun, Apr 3, 2016 at 8:40 AM, Travis Burgess via BVARC <[email protected]> wrote: > > Bob, here is a link to home brew band pass filters. > > http://www.n1nc.org/Filters/ > > Travis > K5HTB > <http://www.n1nc.org/Filters/> > The NVARC “Ugly” Filter Project <http://www.n1nc.org/Filters/> > www.n1nc.org > 1 For those that may not be into the mathematics of electric filter > design, Butterworth and Chebyshev refers to the mathematician who’s > polynomial expressions ... > > > > ------------------------------ > *From:* BVARC <[email protected]> on behalf of Bob Hawkins via > BVARC <[email protected]> > *Sent:* Sunday, April 3, 2016 8:13 AM > *To:* BRAZOS VALLEY AMATEUR RADIO CLUB > *Cc:* Bob Hawkins > *Subject:* [BVARC] build a bandpass filter > > I want a 20 meter bandpass filter.
