All, I’ve been watching this fellow’s videos and they’re quite good. This one is especially important for hams to understand how receivers actually work. Paul goes and shows us the mixer oscillator, the IF amplifier and BFO. Because he has the proper test equipment, we can actually see the signals on the Oscope and on the VTVM(Vacuum Tube Volt Meter.)
He spends quite a bit of time on safety and I’m not advocating that the inexperienced go forth and try to effect repair on a similar hot-chassis radio as these are especially dangerous. Please pay particular attention as he performs the alignment.
