I just received a phone call from Dave's wife. Dave Barber, K5NDB, 74, became a Silent Key on April 16th.
Many knew Dave thru the BVARC Nets and Ten-Ten SHOT Net, but he had not been active for the past few years due to him not being able to speak very well. Dave got into the hobby late in life, but enjoyed the folks that he met and the club activities. He was, in life, an electronic gear-head, starting in the Navy, then working in the geophysical industry as an electronic tech and IT tech manager for Fairfield. The memorial service and funeral have all occurred, so no future services will be held. Just keep Dave in your thoughts. RIP, Dave -- K5NDB (SK) 73.Rick - W5RH
