NO GREAT SHAKES!If you are going to Austin on Saturday before sunrise, you can
still work it on Friday night (Starts at 7PM). Check into the 10-10 Net,
28.488 MHz at 8PM and make a dozen Qs there. Also assuming you leave Austin
around noon, you still can work it Saturday afternoon and (hopefully) evening.
Then there is practically all day Sunday. It ends at 7PM on Sunday. I'm also
going to the Austin Hamfest but I will do the above. Houston SHOT needs the
Qs. 1 Q is 1 more than NO Qs!

for the rules. Note that even if you do not have a 10-10 number, you are
still worth one point (2 points for a member). Also, our local chapter, Houston
S.H.O.T. would like for your points and to join the chapter, you’ll need a
10-10 number and check into one of our special nets on both Friday and Saturday
night at 8pm on 28.488. This contest does allow nets, spotting (even self
spotting) and anything possible to promote 10 meter activity. Now, if you do
not have a 10-10 number, you can check into our net on Friday night, collect 10
numbers, do an on-line application at

and by Saturday night, you likely will have your number. It’s been done
before! There are various software packages that support the contest,
