Good Evening All,
Camp Hope was a great event. So for a Vet and a Ham, this was a wonderful
way to show our Veterans in need how much world cares about them.
The Texas A&M team was large and the University of Texas team showed great
team work. Both teams had some amazing kids flexing their Ham skills.
Bob did a great job at getting the event together and went above in beyond
promoting the months and weeks prior to the date.
The 20-40m Fan dipoles from RadioWavez we used were allot easier to tune up
then the ones I build at home. I might have a Chinese measuring tape. :)
I had the opportunity to speak with several of the residence of the Camp
and it truly is a lifeline that helps these heroes get back on their feet.
This is an easy cause to get behind and a great place to add in some of the
fellowship we as Hams get to share each day to some people that need to
know there is a whole world out that waiting to hear from them on HF.
I am very thankful that I got to be a part of it and there was free beer.
