The CQ WW SSB contest starts tonight at 7 pm cst. I heard several European and South American stations trying out their stations this afternoon. They were running S9+ on 20 meters. You will have no trouble working them with 100 watts and a wire over the roof. You do not have to be in the contest to work these DX stations. Give them a call and then send them a 59 04 for RS and the CQ zone. Very simple exchange. Have fun. See how many countries you can work this weekend. 73, Nizar K0NM _______________________________________________ BVARC mailing list [email protected] http://mail.bvarc.org/mailman/listinfo/bvarc_bvarc.org -- Bruce Paige, KK5DO AMSAT Director Contests and Awards AMSAT Board Member 2016-2018 AMSAT Board Alternate 2015-2016 ARRL Awards Field Checker (WAS, 5BWAS, VUCC), VE Houston AMSAT Net - Wed 0100z on Echolink - Conference *AMSAT* Also live streaming MP3 at http://www.amsatnet.com Podcast at http://www.amsatnet.com/podcast.xml or iTunes Latest satellite news on the ARRL Audio News http://www.arrl.org AMSAT on Twitter http://www.twitter.com/amsat
