I'm pretty sure our Galleria Mall does not have a competing Ham radio
shop....Main Trading would have to sell a lot of diamond clustered gold plated
rigs to cover the overhead nut of that location..... i e The Yaesu designer
collection..... hehe:) The market niche for radio heads don't require fancy
digs but the idea of centrally situated convenience would be nice. Trust me -
There is plenty of available space in H- town.

Now includes a density map (number of hams per sq/mile), which tells a
different story

I think Richard's main concern is to have a low cost rental/lease. That area
may have some strips like that, but any location with excellent access is
likely going to be too expensive.

 I-10 and
west loop is hard to get to from Clear Lake.
In my opinion, Beltway 8 South,
anywhere between 59S and 45 South.
But definitely right off the toll
road...There are three large clusters, Clear Lake, 290 and Belway 8, and all
of Southwest Houston (from 10 to 59).

 Cool map,
 thanks.

So, in your opinion, what's the geographic center for the Houston area.

(discounting Livingston with 593 hams, cause they all "live" on Rainbow Dr.).

 I-10 and the West Loop?
