I can confirm that you should find a good tech with experience to replace the
internal batteries. Try the web site www.qrz.com in the forum where hams sell
to other hams, not just for sale- the one that involves gear built by ham radio
operators.
Batteries Plus is now known as 'Batteries and Bulbs', yet if you are not in a
hurry- you may save by checking Mouser / MCM / DigiKey / Newark / Etc. provided
that you watch for minimum order and shipping costs.
I am currently busy with other work... Maybe check with Gary Grivna... (
shipping could cost you... ).

If they are similar to the memory batteries in a computer, EPO ought to have
them, they had surface mount holder and the battery for my old Compaq Desk Pro
1000 with Windows XP

I have an radio shack HTX-202 and 404 that both need the internal batteries
replaced. I'm not confident doing it. Is there anyone that can help? Please let
me know. According to what I can find on the internet, in addition to the
battery I'll need to find the holders as well.
