Good Evening,

I ran the Sweepstakes SSB contest this past weekend. I lost
some sleep and had to work out *NOT* to ever log a contest in QRZ. I ended
up purchasing N3FJP since they had the exact log for the contest. It seems
pricey at first glance, but since time is money, I have yet to have ever
owned any software that saves more time than the N3FJP. (No I am not
getting a kick back, it s just great software) Now to figure out What type
of file, to send to whom, to get me I worked an ARRL Contest ball cap?

All in all it was a great experience. The cool part of this one is getting
the year of when the other HAM's were first licensed, most of which were
before I was even born. I had a few people have me repeat my 16 a few times
and plenty of people welcomed me to the Contest.

There were some amazing numbers some of these stations were putting up.
K4OV had 740 to my 40 early on, AA5B had 1105 to my 70 , W6YI gave me
serial number 1095, and K5TR was on 1461 by the time I reached 98.

I learned I need a Kurg Coffee pot in the shack and the duplicate contacts
are not my friend. My rig (FTdx1200) worked better than I did. I certainly
have plenty to learn about these contests. (What Is CW ?)

1. I know I can be faster, and I need to send the XLY and Kids to the
mall.
2. 1500 watts is my friend
3. Working in pairs is not cheating.
4. Start on time, stay awake for the the long haul and skip the pile ups.
5. A go fund me account for a VET that needs a 100 foot tower and a spider
beam may be required.

I am not sure I was suppose to claim it on TDXS. I have paid no dues or
attending any meetings. I was up late and feeling a bit lonely. I am sure
someone will let me know if I owe them some money.

If you read down this far then you should check out the link to the
3030scores. :) Have Fun!
