Wilson Greatbach – Ham Radio Operator and innovator in pace makers. Fascinating
story of how he innovated to make a battery powered pacemaker. Read his story

Subject: Honoring the Amateur Radio Innovators at the Greater Houston Hamfest
2017

Since the beginning of the Amateur Radio Hobby, many of our ‘ham’ friends have
contributed greatly to Society but have rarely been recognized by us for their
contributions. Most of these hams are too humble to talk about their
accomplishments.

We are going to honor some of the Amateur Radio Innovators who have contributed
greatly to the Hobby and to other areas of Science, Technology, Medicine and to
the Society. The selected honorees will be presented an award and will be asked
to present a lecture at the 2017 Greater Houston Hamfest.
http://houstonhamfest.org/ .

We are asking for your help in the following areas:

1.        Please send us with names of possible candidates for this award

2.        Help us get this information out to other clubs

3.        Volunteer to help with the selection committee

You can respond to anyone of the people listed in the cc field with your
information.
