Perhaps with the new Congress, we can get back to the original bill without
giving the HOAs more power than they now have.

Subject: [BVARC] Thank God!!! - The Amateur Radio Parity Act is dead

We can rejoice! As is appropriate during the current Holiday Season, ALLELUIA!
The Amateur Radio Parity Act, which would have 1) made it impossible for any
amateur radio operator with an HOA to get approval for an antenna and 2)
necessitated anyone who has an antenna already erected to take it down, is
DEAD. Thank you Rep Bill Nelson of Florida for blocking this!

If you didn't read the article written by Pete Sauermilch, KD5QPX in the
October BVARC Newsletter about the absurdity of the revised bill and its
devastating effect on amateur radio, please do so now. Go to www.BVARC.org,
<http://www.bvarc.org%2C/> then click CLUB NEWSLETTERS in the left column and
then select the October 2016 issue. Go to page 3.

What started as a reasonable intent with the original Parity Act was altered to
be a total disaster in the revised version.

What better Christmas present can we all have?

Tnx es 73

de John
