Folks-
Since I will likely be unable to entertain at the banquet, please see the
attached file. <-------------<<<<<<<<<< ( deterrent to photo below.... ).
I note that the chip in the center is a regulator, not a 4040 / 80286 nor 6502
processor. I have some of the old microprocessor chips and system boards.
For the homebrew / do it yourself (DIY) repair folks, here is a list of *some*
places in Houston with component parts:
Abrind ( cable assemblies for RF )
Ace Electronics ( Limited selection of RF connectors and some coax cable, much
of the rest )
Altex
Apple Stores (PCs and parts)
Best Buy ( more audio/video/network cabling and cleaners for radio work, PCs
and parts )
Bulbs etc. prev. Batteries and Bulbs
Conn's ( finished consumer goods etc. )
Fry's Electronics ( Limited selection of RF connectors and some coax cable,
much of the rest )
Hardware stores Ace, Lowes, Home Depot, Sears ( Tools, circuit breakers, test
instruments, cable, connectors )
Interstate batteries
KB0MNM's garage ( Small switches, TTL, LEDs, NTE semis, etc. most in bubble
packs; wireless microphone kit, audio level meter & generators, scopes )-
please e-mail or call ahead
MicroCenter
Radio Shack ( Call ahead- many are closed or sell limited parts for Cell phones
)
Ralph's Electronics ( Limited selection of RF connectors and some coax cable,
much of the rest )
River Oaks Stereo ( & Amateur radio installation )
Staples / OfficeMax (PCs and parts)
Television service shops, other Car-stereo service shops, Cellular telephone
shops, two-way radio shops *may* sell parts- call ahead
Maybe you can fill in a few more of the blank alphabetical parts of this
list... ( above )
This is a reminder that reservations for the banquet are due, as sent in a
previous message.
