Another good precaution, be sure the wallet size (Preferably laminated & signed) and/ if so inclined, having a "Radio Operator" license plate could be a good identifier..

A truck driver friend, eve has his call sign on the cab of his truck & being an "Owner - Operator. his call sign is listed with the legal licenses as his call sign is the name of the LLC company he operates under.. (A bit overkill, but Ike Stevens is well known in the trucking community in NE Texas, his residence is in "Uncertain, Texas" (That is the actual ame in the East Texas woods not far from Longview.

No.

From the Ordinance:

"(c) This section does not apply to: (1) An operator of an authorized emergency vehicle using a portable electronic device while acting in an official capacity; or

(2) An operator is licensed by the Federal Communications Commission and operating a radio frequency device other than a portable electronic device. "

But, Echolink, or remote HF station access, via your iPhone, isn't exempt, by my reading.....
