Chuck and other members,

Please volunteer to work the two remote stations by WG5H and KJ5Y at the
Hamfest and mentor some newbies on contest operation. Both stations will have
high 120 feet plus antennas and amplifiers. Please sign up with Curt and Pat
for operating times.

I decided to go even though I will be operating the contest. Ten meters is so
bad, I can probably attend between QSOs!

Please attend the Houston Hamfest this year or you might miss out on the
premier event in Ham Radio this year. Our Principal Speaker is Tim Duffy, K3LR
and COO of DX Engineering. He’ll be making 2 presentations, one on building
contest stations and one on the Reverse Beacon Network. If you are any kind of
contest person or DX chaser, you will want to hear one or both of these talks.

The ARRL sponsored speaker will be Bob Inderbitzen, NQ1R, ARRL Sales and
Marketing Manager.

In addition, ICOM will be exhibiting for the first time. Yes, the real
factory ICOM people, Now is the time to ask them any questions about the ICOM
7300 or any other of their radio gear. We will be raffling off the 7300 as one
of our prizes.

Spend $10 to win an ICOM 7300 or an Elecraft K3s or a RigExpert AA-54 Antenna
Analyzer.
