Jon, or Doc,
I'm sure that any board member would gladly take your dues on Sunday and make sure that they are properly credited. The TV station is most welcome to do a remote at field day as most of us are on our best behavior during field day when in fellowship with our brother and sister hams. Fortunately Amateur radio in most quarters has not sunk to the level of CB. 73 .... ( I just landed a new contract or contract to hire position ). Will someone be available to accept dues at the Fire Station? and on another note: Do you need lumber for stakes to hold these antennas ( wire antennas ) firm at the ground end or guy-ropes? I may be able to provide some short, unsharpened, 2x2 scraps. Lathe or other woodworking tools could be an issue with them, unless someone wants to be heroic with a hatchet. and: My new job does involve a Christian Television station. It is *possible* that they would consider a remote- yet I am awfully new to working for them. Do you think that the 'language' of some of the amateurs involved might be considered to be less than Christian? See attachment for an example. Thanks- Jon L.
