John, I once repaired Windows ( Intel ) PCs ( and built them, installed drives with pre-formatting, etc. ) for K & K Systems. I prefer to work on desktop machines, yet could do laptops. While I will be at work for a Television Station tomorrow, it is a 'part-time' ( usually 2 days/week ) job. Could you be more specific about the work? ( some PCs are beyond 'economical' work, yet the data should be migrated... )
