if you are going to file and insurance claim you want to file it before sept 1.
that is when a new law that benefits insurance carriers goes into effect.
even if total extent of damage or loss is not yet known. you can always add a
supplement.

loss of use is paid with no deductible and pays for gas for car to evacuate,
hotel and food while you are out of your house. dont forget you have food
spoilage from power being out, it us usually a flat $500.

food has a catch... it is the amount over what you normally spend for groceries
and at restraunt types similar to your normal eating out. like you cannot say
you normally eat at mcdonalds and now you claim dinner every night at ruth's
chris steak house.

filed my claim this afternoon.

ABC13 Houston Why you should file your Harvey insurance claim now

i am not an insurance agent and your mileage may vary. flood insurance is not
needed for loss of use. lack of water and power is.

Hi friends
Well we flooded a lot, have 30" of water in our house since this morning, and
both cars also flooded.
