It was too big of a topic for a short presentation.  Very interesting
topic.  But there's a conversation on the protocols, on the radios, on the
use of these radios in traditional non-internet ways as hams typically do,
and also about the internet groups and all that involved there.
My impression, correct me if I'm wrong, is that these are useful for local
radios as long as others have DMR.  If everyone gets one, we all get high
quality digital audio with extended range as well.  The fact that you can
connect to the Internet to chat around the world is cool, but that part
doesn't really feel like "ham".  But as with anything, we embrace new
technologies and learn to fit them into the world we play in.  :)

Thanks for such a fantastic topic.  But there's plenty to sort out for most
of us.
