Hi Allen,

Yes, isn't it great news?!!!

I guess all the emails that were sent out by individuals and clubs alike,
have made their point.  Hopefully, when the dust settles and the ARRL gets
back to business, they will concentrate on a Parity Act that has some
teeth!!

Also, the Kosovo is good news. I was holding off working it until it
appeared on the list.  I was able to snag Z60A this morning on 20 CW for a
new country!!

BTW. returning to Houston on Wednesday.  My XYL & I flew back to Ohio to
spend a couple of weeks with her elderly parents.

You  may have already seen this from other sources, but may find it
interesting:

Summary of ARRL meeting (source confidential):

Kosovo has been listed as DXCC country - immediately and retroactive.  If
you have worked Kosovo, in the past, it will count as new country (maybe).
Barry Shelley, (former CFO) the new interim CEO, will draft the rules and
the issue of how far back the retroactive Contacts will be counted..

A Search committee has been formed to find a new CEO.  Shelly is on it and
David Woolweaver, West Gulf Director, has also been appointed to that
Committee.

Hope you are sitting down for this:

All Norris motions have been stopped and withdrawn.  Handwriting was on the
wall that they would have been defeated. So no By-Laws and Articles of
Incorporation changes will take place.

All Lisenco motions have been withdrawn by Lisenco himself.  None of his
nonsense will go forward.

There is always the possibility that those motions or like ones could be
brought up again, but, with the present climate, probably not.

If you haven't fallen on the floor yet, read on with this:

Part of Code of Conduct dealing with Director speaking to his constituents
has been repealed!  Part dealing with Director talking about votes - his or
other Directors, has been repealed.

Remainder of Code of Conduct is subject to review and complete re-write in
July.

Censure of Dick Norton - Motion to repeal put off, because those for it felt
it was not the right time. But censure will be addressed and reviewed
sometime this year.  Mr. Norton indicated that "he really doesn't care,
because he is now a Folk Hero!".  My source thinks that there is no passion
among the remaining Cabal members anymore to do anything to cause any more
pressure to come down on them. They apparently want to do everything they
can to make this all go away. (We know it won't go away).

Tom Frenaye, K1KI, New England Division Director, has been elected to the
Executive Committee. This is a good thing because Mr. Frenaye is known as a
straight shooter and not one of the Cabal.

Here is why you and others must write arrl board members today for the
removal of K5UR and seek the resignation of N2YBB and K5UZ at tomorrow's
board meeting in Newington.

Last note from me on this, but you just have to read this- don't let this
stand another day! Spread  the word to you clubs and friends-- and write the
board individually !!!

Dear all- with the CEO resigning today, and the board meeting starting right
now, we must all write immediately, this hour, to each director personally
(since we now know that they all block emails sent to all directors
simultaneously!).

Please , write immediately to all directors and vice directors for the
removal of 3 key troublemakers! Now is the time for democracy to work! We
have to strike now!

Subject: Urgent- for Board  meeting

Hello Sir,

I was gratified to see that Mr. Gallagher, the CEO, has chosen to retire
from ARRL, and please accept my deep congratulations and appreciation to you
for any role you, and other board members, have played in this.

Urgently, now, this paves the way for the vital house keeping that needs to
happen at the board meeting this week!

Please, I urge you and fellow board members to push for the immediate
resignation of K5UR, Rick Roderick, who as President has been the key player
in the removal of volunteers, the inexcusable censure of N6AA,  the hiring
of Mr. Gallagher, and the lead creator of ill will and secret dealing for
ARRL! Also, just as critical, the board must push for the immediate
resignation of N2YBB, who has been a key disruptive figure and a willing
instrument of the outgoing CEO.

Members now know that Mike Lisenco, N2YBB, has intentionally not been
receiving member emails for many months at his published arrl email, and
even had his emails automatically forwarded to Mr. Ghallagher, showing an
abdication of his abilities or interest to be an ARRL director,  clearly
displaying absolutely no interest in hearing from ARRL members! That should
be immediate cause for his resignation, as he is unfit and unwilling to
serve members. And Mr. Roderick's Jan 15, 2018 open letter is only the most
recent action that disregards so many of the wishes of members for
transparency, fair play, and constructive member-based leadership. These 2
Must go this weekend!

Given all the debacles with spectrum and HOA legal issues, the board should
also put the present lawyer, W3KD Chris Imlay, on notice that he needs to
leave the ARRL imminently.

Only with a cleaning up of these 3 bad actors can the confidence of ARRL be
restored.

No other course of action can cure the ills of the past 2 years, which have
led to ill will, directors who have been appointed and not elected, strong
arm bully tactics, secret proceedings that aim to tear down and not build
up, and a president,  director, and lawyer that show little to no regard
for a big-tent view that considers the broad interests of all the members of
ARRL.

These bad actors have to go, as they have finally attracted the ire and
attention of the ARRL membership. This damage cannot be repaired, and
healing cannot happen, unless and until there is swift and resounding
removal of K5UR, N2YBB, and W3KD.
