Although I am not a bvarc member I do know many people in the club. I am the president of the Houston echo society. Back in August my house and radio room took a lightning strike with much of my equipment damaged. While I have replaced most of it I am still only limited to 75 Ssb. I bought a new antenna but the telescoping mast is not budging and I don’t have the right tools to fix it. Also the wind blew apart my cushcraft r5 and it looks fixable but I just don’t have the right tools again. The lightning also blew out the sound in the computer so no digital operation. I’ve asked for help in echo but the group is now very small and some not in the best health. I hate asking for help but I really want to get back on other bands and modes.
