I put up a 20 meter dipole but the RG8 coax from the shack would not reach the center connector, so I used an old piece of coax as a splice to reach the connector. Apparently that piece of coax has seen better days. Does anyone have a piece of RG8 about 5 feet long with PL connectors for sale or trade? I have the barrel connectors already. (I am beginning to think I need to check my house for curses or paranomal activity. It seems like every ham project I've taken on is a mess. Or perhaps I could hold the ECHO Society meeting at my house and say the topic is "fix everything!") The other issue with the coax is that my radio shack coaxes come in through the weep hole of the house and any new coax that enters the house will have to go in without a connector. FYI - the noise on the antenna switch for the 20 meter antenna is WAY down from the other antennas like many dB and also the Yaesu 450d auto tuner does not tune anywhere in the entire 20 meter band.
