I am having trouble getting my cat cable to work between the HF rig and the computer. It says I have to have it if I want to work dxpeditions on FT8 since the software controls the frequencies. I cannot get the com port function to work properly. I have two usb ports on the front on the computer. One is already in use with a serial to usb cable to my rigblaster nomic. So that is one usb slot and one com port already in use. I should be able to plug the other serial to usb into the other usb port and control my radio from the computer. I have even tried a usb slot on the back of the computer and it still does not work. I don't have the money to buy a new computer at this time. Do I need to buy a specific cable that only works with the Yaesu 450d? (proprietary?) The best I could do is take screen shots with the error messages and email them to you. If anyone can help it will be appreciated. Thanks.
