Being that I'm a licensed civil engineer - and I'm on the ARRL's list of
technical "experts" (cough, wheeze, cough) as a civil engineer. I can help with
this.
The tower manufacturer should have recommended foundation characteristics and
base plate anchorage details. These need to be provided to the engineer and
referenced on the drawings. You'll also need to provide the wind load
characteristics of the planned antenna you'll put atop the tower.
You'll need more than one drawing:A site plan (preferably based from a boundary
survey) showing the tower location and the guy system and ground anchorage
points. A one line section of the tower with the guy points along the tower
height.A drawing showing the foundation plan and sections - including
calculations for the bearing capacity and wind loading. You will also need to
determine the wind zone the tower location will be in.
You'll likely need a soil boring in the vicinity of the foundation with a
geotechnical engineer's recommendation on the soil bearing limits.
I highly recommend going to the agency you'll be getting the permit from (if
you haven't already) and have a sit down meeting, with your engineer attending,
and go over what you plan to do. They will add to the list above with what they
will want to see.
If others with recently permitted towers have other info, please chime in.....

Hi,
I am in need of an EXAMPLE Professional Engineer Stamped/Sealed Tower
Foundation Drawing that was accepted by a city Permit office.I have a 45 ft
telescopic aluminum tower and want to submit a drawing to our Permit Office for
the whole installation. I'll give this to a Civil Engineer as a "Go-By" for
creating a design for my specific tower, the engineer asked for an example as
this is not his typical work.I have checked on the Internet and only found
drawings that show the tower, never that go into the foundation details.
