Mark,

There are some very good contact cleaners around but if the plastic is
trashed, may be time for an upgrade.  40 years is a long time.  I had to
pitch my brick, just dead, no life in it at all.  Looked it over but saw no
way to proceed.  May have to get a new one though my IC2300 with a Hustler
G7-144 up about 32' is doing a good job and I don't travel enough anymore
to need a brick in the car.
