In just a very short time many of us will start working the ARRL 2020 Field
Day. Unfortunately this year, due to COVID-19 virus, the multi-group, Mega
Field Day was not held. There were many thoughts on different ways to try and
hold a group Field Day but nothing seemed appropriate and safe for club
members. So a decision was made for everyone to do individual Field Days at
home. And with changes in Field Days rules, home operating will be more
"user/operator" friendly.
This year there will be a intraclub contest. Rick Hiller sent out an earlier
e-mail which is below.

For a few years now BVARC, TDXS, KARS and ECHO have been holding a joint
mega-Feld Day, but not this year.   We'll all be hunkered down mostly working
1D from our homes.  So, since we can't all be together to enjoy setting up,
operating, socializing and enjoying Daphne and Kelly's wonderful food, let's up
the ante a bit and have some local fun.

     3) You must send your QSO count for each mode worked and your final ARRL
FD score to me after FD.            Deadline is the same as the ARRL submittal
deadline -- 30 days post FD.
Results will be published in the September BVARC BEACON, and awards will be
presented at a future BVARC event.  That's it.
Questions and submissions to me....Rick -- W5RH     [email protected]
A quick note on when submitting your score to ARRL, no matter what club you
want your score to count toward, make you follow the same listing as everyone
else. In the example of Brazos Valley, if it is submitted as BVARC, it could be
counted toward Boyne Valley Amateur Radio Club. They may like the points but it
doesn't help Brazos Valley. John Chauvin, K5IZO, sent out an e-mail earlier
mentioning this so keep that in mind.
I hope everyone has a great time this year and hopefully COVID-19 will be a
thing in the past come 2021 Field Day.
Good luck.
