Hi,
in 1999, I built a "Fox Hunting DF Twin 'Tenna" based on W9PE's article in October 1998 QST, pages 41-44 , you can download that article from the ARRL site.
Now for fun during Covid-19, I went a bit further with his design and had a new PCB made that fits into a nice Hammond Manufacturing box (1593YBK). The new PCB has three BNC sockets and an on/off switch AND fits into the enclosure. I have 10 of these new PCBs, and parts for 5 kits, should anyone be interested. You'll need to build the antenna itself, but this fox-hunting system uses the Interferometer method that gives it very sharp direction detection, read the article for details. Just terminate the free ends of the coax from the antenna with male BNC connectors.
I am not in the kit building business. If anyone is interested I will sell these few that are ready now and then will get the parts for up to 10, if more folks want to try this for excellent Fox-Hunting system. I just want to cover my costs plus postage to you. I have two full kits ready now, but I can get more ready in a few days.
Just email me to let me know you are interested and I'll send photos of the 'semi-kit".
I'll place this same note on the two Austin club groups/io pages, too.
