Good morning,
I'm wanting to build a 2m tape measure yagi and I'm seeing that most of the
designs on the web are feeding it with a length of RG58 coax stripped at the
end and soldered to the driven element. However what I was thinking of doing is
putting an SO239 connector right at the feed point of the driven element and
mounted to a pvc conduit body. Then making a short jump (3 inches max) with 12
ga solid wire and soldering them to the element. I really have no experience
with this kind of stuff and I'm wondering if this would work or if it would
horribly impact the performance of the antenna. Sorry if this a dumb question!
I'm appreciative of any help you can offer.
Thanks!
