Important info regarding amateur radio licensing.

The FCC announced today that, effective today, they will no longer mail
license authorizations under any circumstances If an applicant has an
e-mail address in their ULS record, then the FCC will e-mail their license
to them. If not, the licensee will have to log into ULS to print their
license.

NOTE: The e-mail address must be correct in ULS, not CORES. The e-mail
address provided when an applicant applies for an FRN is stored in the
CORES database and is not available to the ULS database.

An applicant can update their ULS e-mail address by logging into ULS or by
applying for an administrative update through a VEC. In SessionManager,
this is accomplished by entering their e-mail address & checking the
“Change Address” box.

Since in the near future the FC will use e-mail for ALL forms of
communication with a licensee, we need to spread the word that all amateurs
need to make certain that their e-mail address is correct in ULS.
