Glen,
This is not an easy kit, per Dave Casler on YouTube. He just did an unboxing 
and is going to dedicate several shows detailing building it.  He has build a 
couple before. The online manual is Heath Kit quality, step by step. However, 
your note and his comments kind of suggest it might be better to not be in the 
low serial numbers for this product. Not sure why there are so many changes 
unless this is a radical shift from their previous designs. Would you advise 
waiting a few months to let the design settle in?  With regards construction, 
would you advise the full size model, which is the same radio, but larger?
